The General Secretariat for Fatwa Authorities Worldwide vehemently condemned the silence of the international community and world's organizations and institutions towards the continued genocide, brutal attacks and violations committed against Rohingya Muslims in Myanmar.
In a news statement issued on Tuesday, the Secretary-General of the General Secretariat for Fatwa Authorities Worldwide, Dr. Ibrahim Negm, called upon all countries and Islamic-Arab organizations to immediately take an action and coordinate with each other in order to use all possible means to pressure the Myanmar's authorities and government to stop the systematic extermination against the Rohingya Muslims.
Dr. Negm called upon the international community to immediately provide Rohingya Muslims with all the necessary means of material and moral support. "As citizens of the state, the Rohingya Muslims are entitled to practise their right to vote in Myanmar's elections," Dr. Negm added. He stressed that it is necessary to abide by the heavenly revealed legislations and international laws with respect to citizenship rights and the most important of which is the citizens' right to choose a ruler regardless of their faith or ethnic differences.
