Egypt's Grand Mufti invites Canada's ambassador to Cairo to attend Dar al-Ifta international conference next week

Egypt's Grand Mufti, Dr. Shawki Allam, met Canada's ambassador to Egypt, Jess Dutton, this morning in his office at Egypt's Dar al-Ifta headquarters to exchange views on enhancing religious cooperation between the two countries.
During their meeting, Dr. Allam pointed out that Egypt is currently witnessing a state of stability thanks to the efforts exerted by the entire country's institutions to maintain the State's development and prosperity. The Grand Mufti explained the leading religious role that Egypt's Dar al-Ifta presents to serve Muslims worldwide and to respond to their queries in 11 languages.
"The General Secretariat for Fatwa Authorities Worldwide has been established in December 2015 in response to the recommendations of Egypt's Dar al-IFta first international conference held in October, 2015 in Cairo, "Dr. Allam stated. He added that the General Secretariat is a global entity that gathers the world's muftis under one umbrella to explore and resolve the issues of Muslims worldwide.
The Grand Mufti extended an invitation to the Canadian ambassador to attend Egypt's Dar al-Ifta international conference titled, "The Role of Fatwa in Creating a Stable Society" that will be held next week in Cairo from 17-19, October.
From his part, the Canadian ambassador appreciated the Grand Mufti's invitation to attend the conference. He hailed the notable efforts that Egypt's Dar al-Ifta exerts to combat extremist ideologies, especially its activites trough the electronic space to reach out to people worldwide.
