Is it permissible for men to wear silver jewelry?

Using silver jewelry for men is permissible as it was clearly stated by the Prophet Muhammad that men are allowed to use silver and it is prohibited for them to wear gold and silk. The Prophet gave a practical example on the usage of silver by wearing a silver ring that he wore until he died. Also the first Caliph, Abu Bakr al Siddiq, wore the ring followed by ‘Umar ibn al- Khattab and ‘Uthman ibn Affan.
As for wearing other silver jewelry such as bracelets and the like, it is totally related to customary practices and it differs from one culture to another. In some cultures, it is perfectly permissible for men to wear silver jewelry without any social condemnation. In other cultures, wearing silver jewelry other than rings is deemed as an act of imitating women and, in this case, it becomes impermissible for men to wear it.
God the Almighty knows best.
