Loving God more than the Prophet (peace be upon him) or anyone else. Is this permissible?

What does Islam say about a person who loves God more than the Prophet (peace be upon him), his wife and all of humankind?

Answer : English Mufti

Loving God the Almighty means worshiping Him willingly while loving the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). Loving God necessitates loving the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) while loving and venerating the Messenger is in fact love and veneration to God the Most High. We are commanded by God to love the Messenger,
“Say [O Mohammed], 'If you love God, follow me and God will love you” (Quran 3:31).

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Love God for the blessings He bestows upon you, love me for your love for God and love the members of my household for your love for me."
God the Almighty knows best.
