Dr. Shawqy Allam, the grand Mufti of Egypt asked sheik/ Rafi’ al-Rifai’ the mufti of Iraq to stop Muslims’ bloodshed in the Republic of Iraq, endeavor to achieve unity, disregard disagreement and come together to a common word under the capacious banner of Islam.

The grand mufti warned against dispraised sectarianism because it constitutes a time bomb in both the Arab and Islamic worlds, and confirmed his condemnation to bloodshed and all kinds of violence.
This was during the meeting of the grand mufti with sheikh/ Rafi’ al-Rifai’ the mufti of Iraq who is currently visiting Egypt to inform Egyptian religious leaders of the situation in Iraq.

The grand mufti stated: we extend our hands to help our brothers in Iraq and in the whole Islamic world. He confirmed Dar al-ifta’s willingness to represent all kinds of support and religious cooperation to Iraq. On his part, the Iraqi Mufti confirmed the depth of Egypt-Iraq relations on all levels and he praised the role held by Dar al-Ifta al-Missriyah in promoting moderation, coexistence and renouncing violence.
