H.E. Dr. Nazir Mohammed Ayyad, Grand Mufti of Egypt and President of the General Secretariat for Fatwa Authorities Worldwide, praised the call of H.E. Prof. Dr. Ahmed al-Tayeb, Grand Imam of Al-Azhar, to establish an urgent mediation committee to help end conflicts across the Arab region.

Dr. Ayyad noted that the initiative complements Egypt’s political, diplomatic, and humanitarian efforts to support Arab nations and promote regional peace and stability. He called for prioritizing dialogue, justice, and human dignity, while urging religious, media, and cultural institutions to promote moderation, counter hate speech and incitement, and strengthen unity to achieve lasting peace.
