The Grand Mufti of Egypt, President of the General Secretariat for Fatwa Authorities Worldwide, welcomed a delegation from the Shanghai Cooperation Organization at Dar al-Ifta and the Salam Center for Extremism and Islamophobia Studies on Tuesday.

The discussions focused on strengthening cooperation in combating extremism and addressing global misconceptions about Islam. His Eminence outlined Egypt’s and Dar al-Ifta’s efforts through the Salam Center in research, capacity building, and international partnerships.

The delegation commended the Center’s achievements and its pioneering research and training programs, expressing eagerness to enhance future collaboration and share the Center’s expertise across the organization’s institutions. They also toured the Center to gain insight into its activities and initiatives, including the “Manarat” digital platform for countering extremist ideologies, highlighting their interest in benefiting from its innovative tools and experiences.
