Egypt’s Grand Mufti,  President of the General Secretariat for Fatwa Authorities Worldwide, Dr. Nazir Mohammed Ayyad, received a high-level Uzbek delegation to strengthen bilateral cooperation in religious scholarship.

Discussions focused on Dar al-Ifta’s role in training muftis, countering extremism, supporting family stability, promoting coexistence, and utilizing AI in fatwa analysis. The Uzbek delegation expressed interest in benefiting from Egypt’s expertise and expanding collaboration in fatwa issuance, training, and knowledge exchange, while inviting the Grand Mufti to visit Uzbekistan.
