Dr. Nazir Mohamed Ayyad, Grand Mufti of Egypt and President of the General Secretariat for Fatwa Authorities Worldwide, received a delegation of Bangladeshi imams to discuss strengthening scholarly cooperation and to introduce Dar al-Ifta's pioneering experience in the training and qualification of muftis.

During the meeting, the Grand Mufti underscored the importance of preparing well-qualified muftis through a comprehensive approach that combines sound Islamic scholarship with a deep understanding of contemporary realities, while upholding the principles of moderation, balance, and responsible fatwa issuance.

The Bangladeshi delegation commended the vital role of Dar al-Ifta and Al-Azhar in promoting authentic, moderate Islamic teachings and expressed their keen interest in benefiting from their extensive expertise in mufti training and capacity building.
