Egypt's Grand Mufti, Dr. Shawki Allam, vehemently condemned the terrorist attack occurred near the Somali presidential palace headquarters leaving scores dead and wounded.

"The terrorist groups seek to achieve their own political interests by stirring unrest and havoc in the countries, spreading bloodshed and usurping power," Dr. Allam said in a news statement.

The Grand Mufti expressed his sincere condolences to the families of the victims and prayed to God to have mercy on their souls.
