Egypt’s Grand Mufti to Give Keynote Speech at the Opening Session of Dar Al-Ifta 4th Intl. Conference on Fatwa Renewal

The Grand Mufti of Egypt and head of Egypt’s Dar al-Ifta 4th international conference on fatwa renewal will give the keynote speech at the opening session. The Minister of Endowments and Religions Affairs (Awqaf), Dr. Mohamed Mokhtar Gomaa, will give a word on behalf of Egypt’s Prime Minister, followed by the Minister of Justice, counselor Hossam Abdel-Rahim’s word.

Scholars and Muftis of multi-regional delegations will speak at the conference’s opening session including Sheikh Mustafa Cerić, Mufti of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Sheikh Ahmad al-Nur Muhammad al-Hilu, the Grand Mufti of Chad, Sheikh Yusuf Adais, Palestinian Minister of Awqaf and Religious Affairs, and Sheikh Abdul Latif Derian, the Grand Mufti of Lebanon.

The second session will give participants the opportunity to discuss the main theme of this year’s conference followed by a workshop on drafting “Global Fatwa Charter” prepared by the General Secretariat for Fatwa Authorities Worldwide.

Egypt’s Dar Al-Ifta 4th international conference titled “Fatwa Renewal: Theory and Application” will be launched tomorrow in Cairo under the auspices of Egypt’s President, His Excellency Abdel-Fattah al-Sisi, with participants from 73 countries worldwide.
