Egypt’s Grand Mufti, Dr. Shawki Allam, left for Vienna’s Austria on Tuesday morning to participate in the conference titled, “The Power of Words: The Role of Religion, Media and Policy in Countering Hate Speech” .

The conference will be held from 30-31 October under the kind auspices of the King Abdullah ibn Abdul Aziz International Center for Interreligious and Intercultural Dialogue (KAICIID).

Dr. Allam will give a keynote speech presenting Dar Al-Ifta experience in countering hate speech and promoting the culture of peaceful coexistence.
