What is the ruling on having cupping therapy and receiving a blood transfusion while fasting?

The majority of scholars hold that cupping therapy does not invalidate fasting, as breaking the fast is contingent upon a substance entering the body, not something exiting it. This is a general principle, though there are some exceptions. The same ruling applies to blood transfusions. Receiving a blood transfusion does not invalidate the fast, provided the person fasting is not at risk of becoming weak or suffering harm as a result.
