Question

; unicode-bidi: embed; direction: ltr">A person donated a sum of money for the benefit of a mosque and later decided to withdraw his donation.

This donation is considered a waqf [endowment]. It is therefore impermissible for the endower to take it back after it ceased to be his property and was  transferred to Allah's ownership.
