Is the fast of a pregnant woman who experiences bleeding during the month of Ramadan valid?

A woman may pray while in this state because what she is experiencing is istihadah [En. Bleeding that exceeds the normal duration of a woman's monthly menstrual cycle] and due to the words of the Prophet [pbuh] who said: "Pray even if the blood drops onto the mat."
