Under the patronage of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, Egypt’s Dar al-Ifta has officially launched its Second International Symposium under the theme:

“Fatwa and Contemporary Human Issues: Toward Sound Ijtihād that Responds to Modern Challenges.”

Held on 15–16 December in Cairo, the symposium brings together leading Muftis, scholars, and officials from around the world to address pressing human and societal issues, promote balanced fatwa discourse, and strengthen international cooperation against extremist and irregular fatwas.

Discussions focus on human dignity, sustainable development, and major humanitarian challenges, reaffirming the vital role of fatwa in building stable and resilient societies.
