Chief Justice of Palestine: Jerusalem Will Remain a Free and Independent Homeland

During the opening session of the Second International Symposium on Fatwa and Contemporary Human Issues, currently held by Egypt’s Dar Al-ifta in Cairo, Dr. Mahmoud Sidqi Al-Habbash, Chief Justice of Palestine and Advisor to the Palestinian President for Religious Affairs and Islamic Relations, emphasized the enduring significance of the Palestinian cause.

He described it as a fundamental human and moral issue, highlighting the steadfastness of the Palestinian people in defending their land and legitimate rights against injustice and aggression.

Dr. Al-Habbash stressed that Jerusalem remains a symbol of the nation’s balance and identity, and that national unity is essential in confronting occupation. He affirmed that despite the challenges and occupation, Jerusalem will always remain a free and independent homeland, and the Palestinian people will persist in safeguarding it, supported by religious awareness, informed leadership, and the promise of divine justice.
