Egypt’s Grand Mufti, President of the General Secretariat for Fatwa Authorities Worldwide, Dr. Nazir Ayyad, inaugurated a scholarly training on the Palestinian cause at Egypt’s Dar al-Ifta, emphasizing that it is not a transient political issue but a matter of right, justice, and human conscience. In his speech, Dr. Ayyad stressed that its support must be grounded in knowledge, insight, and sound judgment. He noted that the training aims to correct awareness, counter misleading narratives, and deepen understanding of the religious, historical, legal, and humanitarian dimensions of the issue, while reaffirming Egypt’s steadfast stance in supporting Palestinian rights and rejecting displacement, thereby promoting a balanced and responsible national discourse.
