Egypt’s Grand Mufti, Dr. Nazir Mohammed Ayyad, received Rev. Dr. Andrea Zaki, President of the Evangelical Community in Egypt, along with a delegation of church leaders who visited to extend their congratulations on the occasion of the upcoming Eid al-Fitr.

The Grand Mufti welcomed the visit, noting that such gestures reflect the deep bonds of unity, mutual respect, and shared national identity that unite Egyptians, Muslims and Christians alike, and contribute to strengthening social cohesion and national stability.

For his part, Rev. Dr. Andrea Zaki expressed his appreciation for the strong relationship between the Evangelical community and Egypt’s Dar al-Ifta, praising its leading role in promoting moderation, peace, and coexistence, and affirming the importance of continued cooperation in support of national unity and the country’s ongoing progress
