Egypt’s Mufti Discusses Cooperation with Malaysian Delegation of International Centre for Halal Studies, Highlights FatwaPro App Serving Muslims Globally
His Eminence Dr. Nazir Mohammed Ayyad, Egypt's Grand Mufti and President of the General Secretariat for Fatwa Authorities Worldwide, received a delegation from the International Centre for Halal Studies in Malaysia to explore avenues of cooperation in fatwa issuance, halal industry development, and training.
The Grand Mufti highlighted Dar al-Ifta integrated fatwa services, particularly the FatwaPro app, which serves Muslims worldwide and provides multilingual fatwas, enhancing access to reliable religious guidance globally. He also underscored the role of the General Secretariat for Fatwa Authorities Worldwide, which unites 111 institutions from 108 countries to strengthen cooperation and capacity-building among fatwa bodies.
Dr. Ayyad affirmed Dar al-Ifta’s readiness to collaborate with the International Centre for Halal Studies through specialized training programs, Shari'ah consultations, and translation of selected publications into Malay.
The delegation praised Dar al-Ifta’s international standing and expressed interest in expanding academic and research cooperation in fatwa and halal studies.
