H.E. Dr. Nazir Ayyad, Grand Mufti of Egypt and President of the General Secretariat for Fatwa Authorities Worldwide, is traveling to Italy to participate in the International Conference on Religious Studies, to be held on October 2–3, 2026 under the theme “Religion and Shared Humanity: Contemporary Approaches in Theology and Religious Studies,”

The conference, organized by Mohamed Bin Zayed University for Humanities in collaboration with the University of Padova and the University of Eastern Piedmont, brings together leading academics, researchers, and specialists in religious studies from around the world.

Dr. Ayyad’s participation reflects the commitment of Egypt’s Dar al-Ifta to advancing interfaith and intercultural dialogue, highlighting shared human values, and fostering mutual understanding, coexistence, and peace.
