Egypt's Mufti Highlights Shared Human Values in Italy’s International conference on Religious Studies

H.E. Dr. Nazir Ayyad, Grand Mufti of Egypt and President of the General Secretariat for Fatwa Authorities Worldwide, participated on October 2–3, in the First International Conference on Religious Studies in Italy, themed “Religion and the Human Common Ground.” Organized by Mohamed bin Zayed University for Humanities in cooperation with the Universities of Padua and Eastern Piedmont.

The conference brought together scholars from around the world. In his address, the Grand Mufti emphasized that compassion, love, and peace are shared religious values, while openness to others must respect civilizational identity. At the closing session, he called for practical initiatives, including an international committee of religious leaders to help address conflicts and protect civilians.
