Egypt’s Mufti Highlights Youth Empowerment as a Strategic Investment at the 3rd International Summit of Religious Leaders
At the 3rd International Summit of Religious Leaders 2026 in Kuala Lumpur, Egypt’s Grand Mufti, President of the General Secretariat for Fatwa Authorities Worldwide, Dr. Nazir Mohammed Ayyad, reaffirmed that youth empowerment is a strategic imperative for building peaceful, resilient, and prosperous societies.
Addressing global religious leaders, policymakers, academics, and youth representatives, His Eminence emphasized that the Prophetic model offers a timeless framework for preparing young leaders through knowledge, ethical values, responsibility, and trust.
The Summit’s Final Declaration underscored the vital role of youth as partners in shaping the future and called for enhanced international cooperation among religious, educational, media, and youth institutions to strengthen social cohesion, promote coexistence, counter extremism and hate speech, and harness the opportunities of digital transformation and artificial intelligence for the common good.
Participants also reaffirmed their commitment to advancing peace, dialogue, human dignity, and sustainable development, while supporting young people in becoming active contributors to the well-being and stability of their societies.
