Egypt's Grand Mufti, President of the General Secretariat for Fatwa Authorities Worldwide, Dr. Shawki Allam, delivered a speech at the International Conference on civilized behavior organized by the High Islamic Council (HCI) in Algeria's Oran, under the auspices of Algerian president Abdelmadjid Tebboune.

In line with the conference's theme, Egypt's Mufti stated that it has become imperative that we shed light on the Islamic civilized manners and values in times when Islam is often reduced to a set of features or associated with acts of violence that are undoubtedly irrelevant to the true essence of Islam.
