Zayd al khayr related that he once said to the prophet (PBUH), ''Messenger of Allah, surely you will tell me what are the signs of those whom Allah likes and of those whom Allah dislikes?''. {The prophet} asked him, ''What about you Zayd?'' Zayd replied, '' I love goodness (Khayr) and those who do it. I hasten to do good whenever I can; if I miss an opportunity, I am sad and long to find another''. {the prophet} then observed, ''Well, those are the qualities of those whom Allah likes. Had he intended anything else for you, he would have made you different''.

Abu Ayyub related that the messenger of Allah said, ''Four of the habitual practice (Sunan) of the prophets are modesty, the use of perfume, marriage and brushing the teeth (Siwak)''.

 Abu Hurayrah reported that Allah's messenger asked: ''Shall I tell you who are the best among you and who are the worst?''. He repeated the question three times, and they {the companions} replied ''Yes indeed''. He said, ''the best of you are those from whom good can be expected and there is an assurance of no evil from him. The worst are those from whom no good can be expected and from whom thee can be assurance that he will not do evil''.

Abu Bakrah related that the messenger of Allah was once asked, ''which people are best?''. He replied: ''Those whose lives are long their actions good''. Some one asked , ''And which people are worst?''. He replied: ''Those whose lives are long and their actions bad''.
