Dr. Shawqy Allam the Grand mufti of Egypt received at his office on Monday morning- Sheik\ Khalifa Bin Ali al-Harthi the Omani Ambassador in Cairo to discuss Egypt-Oman means of promoting religious cooperation.
The grand mufti stressed during the meeting that Egypt is the address of moderation and is capable of satisfying the needs of modern time without ignoring Islamic beliefs.

The Omani Ambassador confirmed Egypt’s ability to get through crisis and the transitional period the country currently undergoes. He expresses his appreciation to the role of Dar al-Ifta in spreading the true essence of Islam and confronting extremism with moderation which characterizes Egypt because of the existence of the noble Azhar and its scholars.

The grand mufti stated that Egypt-Oman relations are deep and well established. He added: “We endeavor to foster cooperation with our Arab brothers for the advancement of our Arab and Islamic nation.”
