The Grand Mufti of Egypt, Dr. Shawki Allam, received the Canadian ambassador to Egypt, Jess Dutton, in his office at Egypt’s Dar al-Ifta to investigate the means of enhancing religious cooperation between Dar al-Ifta and Canada.

During the meeting, Dr. Allam informed His Excellency Mr. Dutton that Dar al-Ifta is completely ready to cooperate with the Canadian government to provide them with all the legal knowledge they need to enhance their efforts in dismantling extremist ideologies.

From his part, the Canadian ambassador expressed his appreciation to the Grand Mufti and Dar al-Ifta for the tireless efforts they exert to promote sound religious knowledge and combat extremist ideologies inside and outside Egypt.
