As part of Egypt's Dar al-Ifta's training programs on the craft of issuing fatwa and countering extremism, Egypt's Grand Mufti, Dr. Shawki Allam, received Thailand's ambassador to Cairo, H.E. Mr. Puttaporn Ewtoksan, to celebrate the graduation of a new class of Thai students in Egypt.

Dr. Shawki Allam asserted the strong Egyptian-Thai historical relations and praised the efforts of Thai students to seek knowledge and develop the skills of issuing fatwas.

From his part, Mr. Ewtoksan praised the national and international efforts carried out by Egypt's Dar al-Ifta regarding renewing religious discourse.
