Egypt’s Dar al-Ifta 4th international conference successfully achieved its objectives, Secretary-General of Fatwa Authorities Worldwide announced

The Secretary-General of the General Secretariat for Fatwa Authorities Worldwide, Dr. Ibrahim Negm, announced in a news statement on Saturday that the 4th international conference on Fatwa Renewal held by Egypt's Dar al-Ifta through the General Secretariat for Fatwa Authorities Worldwide over the past days has successfully achieved its objectives.
“The conference’s recommendations and initiatives serve both Islam and humanity”, Dr, Negm stated. He added that the General Secretariat for Fatwa Authorities Worldwide will work immediately on implementing these initiatives to reap the fruits of the conference’s work. These include issuing the first international Fatwa Charter that sets the ethics of Fatwa issuance profession, launching Global Fatwa Index that endorses a scholarly methodology for observing, analyzing, and evaluating fatwa discourses worldwide and the launch of “Hedaya” electronic multilingual platform that includes 2000 hours of audio-video martial to serve Muslims worldwide, provide them with the knowledge they need and let them acquainted with latest strides made to renew religious discourse.
Dr. Negm concluded that the General-Secretariat for Fatwa Authorities Worldwide works on transforming these initiatives into training programs to serve the fatwa renewal purposes inside and outside Egypt’s Dar al-Ifta, stemming from the point that sound renewal is the most effective means of responding to extremist allegations at all levels.
