Dr. Shawqi Allam, the Grand Mufti of Egypt, said the general-secretrait of Egypt’s Dar al-Ifta will coordinate with other fatwa offices and organizations to raise their fatwa efficacy and produce sound fatwas. He added that this general secretrait aims to establish a moderate methodology in fatwa issuance and create an opportunity to exchange practical, scholarly, and organizational experiences.

Dr. Shawqi also said the general secretrait will hold an annual conference to discuss unprecedented matters as it will establish a fatwa training academy, send delegations abroad to correct false notions about Islam, and create a website in ten languages to convey its message worldwide.
