Dr. Shawki Allam, the Grand Mufti of Egypt, will hold a press conference on Tuesday to announce officially the establishment of the General Secretariat for Fatwa Offices Worldwide under the auspices of Egypt’s Dar al-Ifta.

Dr. Ibrahim Negm, the Senior Advisor to the Grand Mufti, said that the aim of the General Secretariat for Fatwa Offices Worldwide is to exchange practical, scholarly and organizational experiences between the member fatwa houses, discuss contemporary issues, and find solutions for them from Islamic tradition.
