In a recently issued news statement, Egypt’s Dar Al-Ifta announced that it is preparing to host its fifth international annual conference next October through the General Secretariat for Fatwa Authorities Worldwide with the participation of Multi-Regional delegations from 85 countries.

This year’s conference titled, “Managing Juristic Differences: A Civilizational Approach” will be held from 15-16 October 2019 in Cairo under the kind auspices of Egypt’s President, His Excellency President Abdel-Fattah al-Sisi.

The Senior Advisor to Egypt’s Mufti, Secretary-General of the General Secretariat for Fatwa Authorities Worldwide, Dr. Ibrahim Negm, stated that the title of this year’s conference stems from a sincere tenacity to invest in and rationally manage juristic differences in an attempt to direct them to resolving contemporary problems and not to be part it.

“The conference will cover 4 main themes to accommodate contemporary developments, challenges and changing locational and individual contexts and examining them exhaustively,” Dr. Negm said. He added that a number of initiatives and pacts will be announced at the conference’s closing session.
