Egypt's Grand Mufti, Dr. Shawki Allam, received on Monday the Afghan ambassador to Egypt H. E. Mohammad Moheq to investigate aspects of fostering mutual religious cooperation.

At the beginning of the meeting, the Afghan ambassador expressed his warmest thanks to the Grand Mufti and Dar Al-Ifta for the immense support offered in establishing the Afghan Fatwa House. He also extended an official invitation to the Mufti to attend the inauguration in presence of the Afghan President.

From his part, Dr. Allam confirmed that Egypt’s Dar Al-Ifta is completely ready to provide all forms of scholarly and legal support to Afghanistan’s Fatwa House including training of Muftis on issuing fatwa and combating radical ideologies.
