As part of the concluding remarks of Egypt’s Dar al-Ifta 7th international conference on “Fatwa and Sustainable Development Goals”, Egypt’s Grand Mufti and President of the General Secretariat for Fatwa Authorities Worldwide, Dr. Shawki Allam, announced the launch and work of FatwaPro App that serves Muslims in the West.

In his closing remarks, Dr. Allam noted that the conference highlighted the religious duty toward the Islamic nation and addressed the challenges imposed on it. He asserted that the goals of sustainable development align with the objectives of the Shari’ah and called for serious scholars, researchers, and fatwa institutions to explore the juristic tradition to extract gems of the enlightened Islamic intellect that support the path of development.

“The conference also sought to clarify in its sessions the role of fatwa in achieving the social, cultural, and environmental goals of development, particularly climate change and the empowerment of women," Dr. Allam concluded.
