Egypt's Grand Mufti, Dr. Shawki Allam, received H. E. Mufti of Singapore Dr. Nazirudin Mohamed, and his accompanying delegation to discuss means of mutual scholarly cooperation.
At the outset of their meeting, Dr. Allam emphasized the strong Egypt-Singapore relations and highlighted Singapore's pioneering experience in various fields, most notably the efforts of the Singaporean Dar al-Ifta during the COVID-19 pandemic, for which it was granted the Imam al-Qarafi Prize for distinction in Ifta' in Egypt's Dar al-Ifta's 7th international conference.
For his part, Dr. Nazirudin Mohamed expressed his gratitude for the award and praised the moderate discourse adopted by Egypt's Dar al-Ifta, asserting his aspiration for continuing cooperation between the two countries.
