Egypt's Grand Mufti, Dr. Shawki Allam, welcomed a high-level delegation from Kazakhstan, headed by Mr. Bulat Sarsenbayev, Chairman of the Board of the N. Nazarbayev Center for the Development of Interfaith and Inter-Civilization Dialogue. The meeting aimed to discuss means for enhancing mutual religious cooperation that serve fatwa authorities in both countries.

Egypt's Mufti emphasized the depth of Egyptian-Kazakh relations, particularly in religious spheres, and highlighted the ongoing collaboration with both the Mufti of Kazakhstan and the Nur-Sultan University.

On his part, Mr. Sarsenbayev expressed gratitude for the continuous support that Egypt's Dar al-Ifta provides to Kazakhstan and commended its efforts to refute  misconceptions and combat extremism.
