Egypt’s Grand Mufti, Dr. Shawki Allam, received Sheikh Arthur Suleymanove, President of Russian Islamic University, Deputy Mufti of Russia, to investigate the aspects of fostering mutual religious cooperation.

During their meeting, Dr. Allam presented the efforts of Dar al-Ifta inside and outside Egypt to combat extremist ideologies and provide Imams with the necessary scholarly training to encounter the currents of Islamophobia.

From his part, the President of the Russian Islamic University mentioned the beginning of promoting Islam in Russia and clarified the conditions of Muslims in his community. He expressed his interest in enhancing means of religious and scholarly cooperation between Dar al-Ifta and the Islamic University.
