Baku to host "Embracing Diversity: Tackling Islamophobia in 2024" int'l conference

Dr. Ibrahim Negm, Senior Advisor to Egypt's Mufti, Secretary-General of the General Secretariat for Fatwa Authorities Worldwide headed to Baku to participate in the conference titled "Embracing Diversity: Tackling Islamophobia in 2024".

Dr. Negm, is to attend the conference will be held in Baku, Azerbaijan from March 8th to 10th, 2024.

He is expected to present the efforts of Egypt's Dar al-Ifta and the General Secretariat regarding the issue of Islamophobia and how their efforts have been directed towards the West to address this phenomenon.

The event to be organized collaboratively by the Baku International Multiculturalism Center (BIMC), the Center of Analysis of International Relations (AIR Center), the G20 Interfaith Forum, and the Baku Initiative Group, is expected to bring together 130 international guests, including scientists from 30 countries, experts of international organizations, religious figures and representatives of non-governmental organizations.

The conference will also include local experts on the subject, representatives of state agencies, religious community leaders and state officials.

The II Conference on Islamophobia will provide a platform for serious discussions, research presentations and open dialogues on a key topic.
