Egypt and Singapore to Strengthen Cooperation in religious Affairs

Dr. Nazir Ayyad, Grand Mufti of Egypt and President of the General Secretariat for Fatwa Authorities Worldwide,  met with Singapore’s Ambassador to Cairo, Dominic Goh, at Dar Al-Ifta's premises on Sunday to discuss strengthening collaboration in fatwa-related matters. Both parties emphasized the significance of enhancing mutual cooperation between Egypt and Singapore, particularly in promoting tolerance, peaceful coexistence, and global stability. Dr. Ayyad underscored Dar Al-Ifta’s role as the world’s oldest Fatwa institution, its contributions to interfaith dialogue, and its willingness to assist Singapore in establishing an Islamic Studies college specializing in fatwa. Ambassador Goh praised Dar Al-Ifta’s global impact and reaffirmed Singapore’s commitment to ongoing cooperation in religious affairs.
