Eating new manufactured edible gold and silver, is it permissible?

There is no legal impediment in Islamic law against eating any type of food as long as it is lawful, pure, and in one’s possession i.e not stolen, taken by force etc…
Silver and gold as metals were not part of the food industry but if they have been manufactured and became edible for human consumption and are used for food embellishments and are added to delicacies, there is no legal prohibition against consuming it. That being said, the only concern left would be due to the extravagance and excessiveness on food expenditure which is not recommended and warned against. Yet the permissibility of eating edible gold and silver is maintained.
