Performing ablution for prayer after the ritual bath for major ritual impurity

Question

Is it necessary to perform ablution for prayer after the ritual bath following sexual intimacy or wet dreams?

Answer

It is not a requirement to perform ablution following sexual intimacy and wet dreams if a person rinses out the mouth and nose, such that water reaches all parts of the mouth and nose, and washes all parts of the body with water. This is because this ritual bath removes the state of major ritual impurity, so it follows all the more that it removes minor ritual impurity. According to Hanafi jurisprudence, the intention is not obligatory for either ablution or the ritual bath, but is a sunnah. It is preferable, however, to make the intention and perform ablution before the ritual bath, as this is a sunnah.

And Allah Almighty knows best.
