The inquirer's brother was injured in a train accident. He filed a lawsuit and the court awarded him compensation. Is it permissible to accept the sum he was awarded as compensation?

A court determined compensation is lawful. It is permissible for the plaintiff to take it and dispose of it in any manner he wishes.
