Egypt’s Dar al-Iftaa will mark its 130th anniversary on Sunday, November 23, 2025 with a ceremony honoring its legacy and former Muftis. As the oldest organized fatwa authority in the Islamic world, the institution has played a key role in developing religious guidance and serving society.

The Grand Mufti of Egypt, Dr. Nazir Ayyad emphasized the event as a celebration of the institution’s enduring scholarly mission and global impact. The ceremony will feature a documentary and speeches, concluding with a tribute to the contributions of past Muftis.
