Pursuing its religious leading role in combatting extremist ideologies, Dr. Ibrahim Negm, Senior Advisor to Egypt's Grand Mufti, received his Excellency Mr. Greg Ralph, the Australian Assistant Secretary, at Dar al-Ifta premises.

During the meeting, Dr. Ibrahim Negm confirmed that Egypt given its prestigious status in the Middle East, has frequently warned the world against the lethal threat of extremism, yet with no avail. He made it clear that Egypt's Dar al-Ifta is fighting an intellectual battle to combat infidelizing and extremist groups, which is as fierce as the real battle on the ground.

From his part, Dr. Negm pointed out that Egypt's Dar al-Ifta is ready to offer all the possible means of religious cooperation to the Australian community with respect to Fatwa issuance.
