The Grand Mufti of Egypt, Dr. Shawki Allam, during his meeting today with the Tajik ambassador to Egypt Khuzrav Noziri, confirmed that the heinous crimes committed by extremists and terrorists against humanity preclude international peace and security, tarnish the image of Islam and sever cultural and religious ties among nations.

Dr. Allam presented the efforts exerted by Dar al-Ifta to counter extremist ideologies and correct misconceptions that include participating in international conferences, sending delegations to European and Asian countries, and issuing a magazine in Arabic and another in English in response to QSIS’ magazine “Dabiq”.

On his part, the Tajik ambassador expressed his appreciation for the efforts exerted by Dar al-Ifta to counter terrorism and spread the sound teachings of Islam, adding that his country looks forward to cooperating with Egypt’s Dar al-Ifta to counter terrorism and train muftis.
