The Grand Mufti of Egypt, Dr. Shawqi Allam, received today the President of the Lutheran World Federation, Bishop Dr. Munib A. Younan and the President of the Protestant community in Egypt, Rev. Dr. Andrea Zaki.

Dr. Allam said that Islam has established a great civilization that integrated different cultures and religions, resulting in a peaceful and stable society based on participation, tolerance, co-existence and citizenship, freedom of faith, equality and justice.

Dr. Allam said that the both Muslims and Christians carry the great responsibility of confronting the Judaization of Jerusalem, adding that national unity between the Muslims and Christians of one nation is a barrier against plans for chaos.
