Egypt’s Grand Mufti, Dr.Shawki Allam received today in his office the Mufti of Chad Republic Sheikh Mohammed al-Noor Mohammed al-Hilw and Chad’s ambassador to Cairo, Mr.Hassan Adam.

The meeting comes at the sidelines of the official launch of the General Secretariat for Fatwa Offices Worldwide, to be announced on Tuesday.

During the meeting, the two parties discussed the possibilities of providing Muslims worldwide with sound true teachings of Islam through the establishment of the general fatwa secretariat, a means to counter radicalization and extremist ideologies.

“Egypt’s Grand Mufti is regarded as a Mufti for all Muslims,” Chad’s Mufti said. “The establishment of the General Secretariat for Fatwa Offices Worldwide is the right step towards countering fatwa issuance chaos which led many Muslims to fall victims of radicalization and terrorism,” ِِAl-Noor added as he also praised the efforts and achievements of Dar al-Iftaa over the past two years.
