Dr. Shawqi Allam, the Grand Mufti of Egypt, received in his office Mrs. Madalena Fischer, the Portuguese Ambassador in Cairo, to discuss the means of promoting religious cooperation between Egypt’s Dar al-Ifta and Portugal.

During the meeting, Dr. Allam said that Egypt’s Dar al-Ifta is willing to give all kinds of religious support to Muslims in Portugal. On her part, Mrs. Fischer expressed her willingness to promote religious cooperation with Egypt’s Dar al-Ifta and benefit from its experience in confronting radicalism and excommunicating groups.
