The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia announced that Saturday 29 Dhul-Qi’da 1434 AH/ 5 October 2013 CE is the last day of the lunar month and that Sunday October 6th, 2013 CE is the first day of the month of Dhul-Hijja.

Based on this, Dar al-Ifta al-Misriyyah announced that Sunday October 6th 2013 CE is the first day of the month of Dhul-Hijja 1434 AH and Monday October 14th, 2013 CE is the 9th of Dhul-Hijja which is the day of Arafat. According to this calculation, Tuesday October 15th, 2013 CE is 10 Dhul-Hijja and the first day of the blessed Feast of Sacrifice.
