The advisor to the Grand Mufti participates in Islam Awareness Week in the USA
The Grand Mufti of Egypt, Dr. Shawky Allam, deputed Dr. Ibrahim Negm, Advisor to the Grand Mufti of Egypt, to participate in Islam Awareness Week dedicated to raising awareness about Islam and Prophet Muhammad which will start Monday morning in New York.
Before his departure, Dr. Negm said that during his participation, he will deliver lectures on Islam and Prophet Muhammad in the universities, schools, and churches of New York. The event was organized to raise sound religious awareness among Muslim circles around the globe. Dr. Negm’s participation came in response to the invitation extended by the Muslim center of New York.
The event will include seminars, religious lectures, and answers to religious queries made by the Muslim community of New York. It will also include extensive media interviews to explain the stance of Islam on the unprecedented events and current developments taking place in Egypt and the prerequisites and perquisites for the coming phase.
Dr. Negm explained that the visit stems from Dr. Allam’s commitment to give scholarly and Islamic legal support to Muslims living overseas and to present the true tolerant and moderate image of Islam.
